The Gift of Health is keeping me Alive…
Inspired by Personal Experience
Vijay & Sindhu.

Our Story
Sindhu had been overweight for a long time. She does not make it a habit to consume healthy foods. She also had chronically high blood pressure and was diagnosed with renal artery stenosis, which caused a shrunken kidney that only functioned 18% of the time. Doctors suggested that the shrunken kidney be removed. In 2010, she had surgery to remove her left kidney. She was also advised to adopt a salt-free diet for the rest of her life. She married Vijay in 2013. She acquired a lot of weight with her first pregnancy in 2014-15, and it has been consistent since then.
She visited Dr. Vijayaraghavan in Chennai for routine stomach problems and was shocked to see a message listing foods to consume with paneer, cheese, coconuts, eggs, meat, and so on, as well as foods to avoid with rice, milk, wheat, sugar, and so on. She talked with the doctor about it, and he suggested she attend his awareness training. Both attended his workshop in 2016. It was an eye-opening event for her and her husband, Vijay. Since then, both have been following a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet.
Both lost a significant amount of weight, totaling 35 kgs in 6 months, and various other benefits such as increased energy, normal blood parameters, etc. Slowly, both began to help Dr. Vijayaraghavan reach out to more individuals and promote awareness about living a medicine-free life. Dr. Vijayaraghavan also asked Sindhu to provide nutrition consultations to his patients. She also started listening to LCHF pioneers like Dr. Eric Berg, Jason Fung, and so on. She published her first LCHF cookbook in May 2016, on a doctor’s recommendation, and it was a big success, selling over 10,000 copies.
She consulted with over 2000 people and helped them overcome lifestyle conditions like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, PCOD, cholesterol, and thyroid diseases. In 2021, she graduated from Dlife Academy, where she studied low-carb nutrition. Her confidence in nutrition coaching has grown dramatically as a result of her personal experience. She then took a Certification course in Applied Nutrition from NFNA and a Certification course in Advance Nutrition and Lifestyle Management from MHB in 2022. She further completed Functional Medicine Clinical Nutrition in 2024.
Vijay worked in a banking BPO in Chennai, but he has had a strong desire to create his own business since childhood. Sindhu proposed opening a healthy food business after receiving multiple requests from her patients. In September 2018, they both agreed to provide healthful salads, sundals, and soups, and they successfully launched SALADAA, Chennai’s leading salad subscription service.
Because they were both preoccupied with SALADAA’s daily operations, they decided to write their next book, which would include all the required information on the low-carb, high-fat diet. Their second book, “LCHF KETO Cookbook: Reverse Lifestyle Diseases Through Healthy Eating,” was released successfully in January 2020. The Complete LCHF Diet Guide, including a Meal Plan and Food List. 101 Delicious Vegetarian (Basic to Dessert) Recipes” was a big success, selling over 7,000 copies.
She wrote her third book for people who do not follow any diet plan and want to reclaim their health naturally. “Align your health with Natural Rhythms” is the title of the book, which connects the five elements to our body and mind. This book is accessible in an e-book version on https://myhealthreset.in/
Sindhu and Vijay have been living a healthy and happy life with their family since 2016, and they have a desire to improve people’s health through Saladaa’s Nutri Care.
4 Pillars of Health
Many of us make resolutions to lose weight, eat healthier, and get fit. However, most of these lofty health goals end up abandoned because they’re often too broad and vague to achieve. The key lies in setting specific, achievable targets.
Commonly, people believe that dieting involves eating less, sticking to meal times, and calorie counting. However, it’s not just about eating less; it’s about eating right. Many assume that focusing solely on diet can effectively manage issues like obesity, diabetes, cholesterol, and other lifestyle-related health concerns.

EAT WELL
Eat only when you are hungry,
Stop when you feel full.

MOVE WELL

SLEEP WELL

RELAX WELL
However we need to deal with the above 4 points for a complete solution
SALADAA
Saladaa Academy is the realisation of a shared dream by Vijay and Sindhu. Since 2016, our family has embraced the low-carb lifestyle, experiencing incredible improvements in health, energy, and weight management. Inspired by our own transformation and a deep desire to share this knowledge, we began guiding and interacting with hundreds of people — a journey that eventually led to the birth of Saladaa Academy.
Launched in September 2018 as Saladaa Nutri Care, our mission was to make healthy eating easier. Over the years, we discovered that the most powerful change happens when people learn to create nourishing meals themselves. That insight evolved into Saladaa Academy — a space where we teach the art and science of salads, soups, and wholesome eating.
Our workshops are designed to help anyone overcome the daily challenge of planning healthy meals within their lifestyle. Rooted in our belief in the life-changing benefits of raw vegetables and balanced nutrition, we now focus on empowering individuals to confidently prepare delicious, nutrient-rich meals at home.
With the vision to impact the lives of 1 million people, Saladaa Academy is committed to building a community that thrives on optimal health, lasting happiness, and vibrant energy.
